The family concert series marks the milestone in August

Baby Broadway will celebrate its tenth anniversary this August with a special one-off Family Sing and Play mini-festival in the heart of Covent Garden – taking place on Friday 14 August.
Founded by producer Anna Unwin, whose previous credits include work with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group and entertainment production for the BBC, Baby Broadway presents live music concerts for families with babies and young children, featuring professional performers from the West End and international tours.
Designed to be relaxed and inclusive for both adults and children, the concerts combine live performance with interactive elements woven throughout the songs.
The Family Sing and Play day will take place at St Paul’s Church on the Piazza, also known as The Actors’ Church, bringing together Baby Broadway’s three family concert experiences under one roof alongside a mini-festival in the church garden.
The programme will include Baby Broadway, featuring songs from musicals and films performed by West End singers, Baby Gospel with members of CK Gospel Choir performing soul and Motown classics, and Baby Knees Up, a Cockney singalong led by Tom Carradine. Combining live music with interactive elements including bubbles and puppets, the performances are aimed at children aged under eight and their families. Concerts will take place at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
Speaking about the anniversary, founder Anna Unwin said: “I started these concerts as a new parent, to create a welcoming space where families could enjoy high-quality live music together. I can’t quite believe it’s been ten years and I’m delighted it continues to bring joy and connection to so many people.
“We’ve been lucky to perform in iconic venues including the Royal Albert Hall, the Southbank Centre, the British Library and the Museum of London, but St Paul’s Church in Covent Garden will always be our home. It felt like the perfect moment to bring everything together here, for our first mini-festival, and we can’t wait to celebrate.”
