Blood Brothers tour continues in 2018 with Lyn Paul

Willy Russell’s seminal hit musical embarks on its 2018 UK tour in January

Lyn Paul is to return to the role of Mrs Johnstone in the musical Blood Brothers for the show's 2018 tour.

Opening at Theatre Royal Bath, the musical continues touring after its 2017 run celebrating its 30th anniversary. The show is Russell's tale of two twins separated at birth only to be reunited by a twist of fate. The show originally started life as a play at Liverpool comprehensive school. Songs include "A Bright New Day", "Marilyn Monroe" and "Tell Me It's Not True".

Paul performed the role in the final nights of the show's run at the Phoenix Theatre in London. Her career includes being a member of band New Seekers and starring as Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret, as well as Boy George's musical Taboo.

Russell's other credits include Educating Rita and Shirley Valentine. The show runs between 16 and 20 January in Bath before heading to Belfast, Weston-super-Mare, Aylesbury, Darlington, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Carlisle, Barnstaple and more.

Blood Brothers begins its 2018 UK tour on 16 January at the Theatre Royal Bath.
