Exclusive: First look at Martin Freeman, Tamsin Greig and cast of Labour of Love

Jeremy Herrin directs James Graham’s new political comedy

Images have been released of rehearsals for James Graham's new political comedy, Labour of Love, which opens at the Noel Coward Theatre this month.

Jeremy Herrin directs Martin Freeman and Tamsin Greig as a Labour MP and his constituency agent.

The Michael Grandage Company and Headlong co-production is set away from Westminster and in the traditional northern heartlands of the party.

The cast also features Rachael Stirling, Kwong Loke, Dickon Tyrrell and Susan Wokoma. Greig takes over from the previously billed Sarah Lancashire who recently withdrew from the production on doctor's advice.

Labour of Love runs at the Noel Coward Theatre from 3 October to 2 December, with previews from 27 September.
