Jesse Eisenberg's hit 2015 play The Spoils is set to receive its European premiere at Trafalgar Studios in May.

Eisenberg will reprise the role of Ben, alongside his original co-star, The Big Bang Theory actor Kunal Nayyar as Kalyan.

Eisenberg has appeared in a plethora of hit films including The Social Network, Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Adventureland whilst his theatre credits include The Revisionist which he wrote and starred in alongside Vanessa Redgrave and Asuncion (Cherry Lane Theatre).

Directed by Scott Elliott, the production is a satirical comedy which questions American privilege and the nature of family and relationships.

Eisenberg commented today: "The Spoils explores issues as disparate as stunted sexuality and the politics of the deposed Nepalese Monarchy, NFL on Fox and the fluctuating prices of tea on the agrarian market. It's about how all of these seemingly unrelated things intersect to create a portrait of life in a complicated, heterogeneous society. I’m thrilled to perform this play in London, such an incredible centre for theatre."

Elliot added: "Everyone knows Jesse the brilliant film actor but Jesse the theatre artist is truly remarkable, and I'm thrilled and honored to be able to introduce his work to the West End."

Further casting is yet to be announced.

The Spoils will run at Trafalgar Studios from 27 May to 13 August.
