In pictures: Cast and stars celebrate opening night of Half a Sixpence
Cameron Mackintosh's production of Half a Sixpence opened in the West End last night with a stand out star turn from leading man Charlie Stemp.
The show arrives at the Noel Coward Theatre following a run at Chichester Festival Theatre earlier this year. This is a new stage version of the musical adaptation of HG Wells' semi-autobiographical novel about a young man who is left a fortune by his grandfather.
The updated version brings together writer Julian Fellowes with George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. Rachel Kavanaugh directs the show which also stars Emma Williams and Devon-Elise Johnson.
Stars including Elaine Paige, Christopher Biggins, Cliff Richard and Barbara Windsor attended the opening night.
