Full cast announced for Jersey Boys tour

New dates are also announced for the UK tour

Full casting and new tour dates have been announced for the second UK and Ireland tour of Jersey Boys.

The cast are Michael Watson as Frankie Valli, Simon Bailey as Tommy De Vito, Declan Egan as Bob Gaudio and Lewis Griffiths as Nick Massi. Dayle Hodge will also return to the production to play Frankie Valli at certain performances.

Watson, Bailey, Egan and Griffiths have all performed in Jersey Boys previously. Watson and Bailey in the West End, Egan in the West End and Australia and Griffiths in the first UK and Ireland tour.

New dates on the tour are The Marlowe Canterbury (2 to 13 October 2018), New Victoria Theatre Woking (16 to 27 October 2018), Bristol Hippodrome (30 October to 17 November 2018), Leeds Grand Theatre (20 November to 1 December 2018), New Theatre Oxford (18 December 2018 to 5 January 2019), Wales Millennium Centre (16 to 26 January 2019), Palace Theatre Manchester (29 January to 16 February 2019), Edinburgh Playhouse (19 February to 2 March 2019), Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin (5 to 16 March 2019) and Mayflower Theatre Southampton (19 to 30 March 2019).

The cast also includes Joel Elferink as Bob Crewe, James Alexander Gibbs as Joey, Mark Heenehan as Gyp DeCarlo, Karl James-Wilson as Norm Waxman, Arnold Mabhena as Barry Belson, Phoebe May Newman as Francine, Olive Robinson as Lorraine, James Winter as Hank Majewski and Tara Young as Mary Delgado. Completing the cast will be Peter Nash, Dan O’Brien, Stephen O’Riain and Amy Thiroff.

Jersey Boys originally opened in London at the Prince Edward Theatre on 18 March 2008. It moved to the Piccadilly Theatre on March 2014 and ran until 26 March 2017.

The jukebox musical tells the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and the group's rise to stardom. Songs include "Beggin'", "Sherry", "Walk Like a Man", "Big Girls Don't Cry" and "Bye Bye Baby".

Jersey Boys opens at Birmingham New Alexandra on 16 December and then tours the UK.
