Casting for Tara Arts' Christmas show Bollywood Jack has been announced.

The production, written by Farrukh Dhondy, is a Bollywood spin on the traditional panto Jack and the Beanstalk.

It will star Sohm Kapila (Bend It Like Beckham) as Jack, Ralph Birtwell (Romeo and Juliet, RSC) as The Dame and Deven Modha (A Midsummer Night's Dream) as The Giant.

The cast also includes Shala Nyx, Aria Prasad and Adam Samuel-Bal.

It will be Tara Arts' first Christmas show in their new South London space which was officially opened by Sadiq Khan earlier this year. It follows their previous Christmas shows Bollywood Cinderella and Dick Whittington Goes Bollywood.

Bollywood Jack will run at the Tara Theatre from 7 December 2016 to 7 January 2017.
