Cynthia Erivo and Dean Nolan lead Everyman's Midsummer Night's Dream

Nick Bagnall’s production opens at the Liverpool venue in March

Casting has been announced for A Midsummer Night's Dream at Liverpool's Everyman Theatre, which opens on 21 March.

Cynthia Erivo will play Puck in Nick Bagnall's production, with Dean Nolan as Bottom and Liverpool favourite Andrew Schofield as Peter Quince.

Erivo, who is known for her musical performances in shows such as I Can't Sing!, The Color Purple and Sister Act, was most recently seen in Henry IV at the Donmar Warehouse. Nolan has credits including Tis Pity She's A Whore and Knight of the Burning Pestle, both at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse.

Game of Thrones's Charlotte Hope will play Hermia, with Titania and Oberon played by Sharon Duncan-Brewster and Garry Cooper. The cast also includes Young Everyman Playhouse graduate Lewis Bray, Emma Curtis, Michael Hawkins, Alan Stocks, Tom Varey, Matt Whitchurch and Ozzie Yue.

A Midsummer Night's Dream, which features design from Ashley Martin-Davis, lighting from Peter Mumford, music from James Fortune and sound from Peter Rice, runs at Liverpool's Everyman Theatre from 21 March to 18 April 2015.
