Wynne Evans, the man best known for being the opera singer in the adverts for GoCompare.com will guest star in the touring production of Spamalot as Sir Galahad at Wales Millenium Centre.

Evans took part in the advertising campaign which has made him a household name and he now has a daily BBC Radio Wales show. His work singing involves appearances at the Royal Opera House, English National Opera, Welsh National Opera and recordings with orchestras including RPO, the LSO and the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

Evans also starred as Piangi in the 25th anniversary performance of The Phantom of the Opera.

He said: "I’m so excited to be joining the Spamalot cast at the wonderful Wales Millenium Centre. It’s a great feelgood show and one that I have loved for a long time. Everyone is going to come out laughing and singing the tunes!"

Based on the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the musical follows King Arthur as he travels with the Knights of the Round Table in search of the Holy Grail. The show runs at Wales Millenium Centre between 20 and 24 March.

Spamalot continues to tour to Portsmouth, Malvern, Coventry, Basildon, Dartford and more until 19 May.
