Casting has been announced for Salisbury Playhouse's forthcoming revival of A Man of No Importance, directed by artistic director Gareth Machin, which runs from 25 April to 18 May 2013.

This heart-warming musical is set in 1960s Dublin and tells the story of an amateur theatre troup determined to stage a production of Oscar Wilde's Salome.

The cast features Mark Meadows (Betty Blue Eyes, Mary Poppins) as Alfie and Fra Fee (Dirty Dancing, Les Misérables) as Robbie, alongside Laura Pitt-Pulford (Piaf and Hello Dolly at Leicester Curve), Christopher Talman and Susannah Van Den Berg.

Completing the cast are Angela Bain, Esther Biddle, Richard Emerson, Samuel Martin, Robert Maskell, Mia Soteriou, and Roy Weskin.

The award-winning musical is based on the 1994 film starring Albert Finney and features a book by Terrence McNally, music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime and Seussical).
