Rakhee Thakrar

Rakhee Thakrar is an English actress born in Leicester. She is of Indian descent and began her career in local theatre before her first professional credit, the BBC Asian Network radio drama Silver Street. She is best known for playing Shabnam Masood in EastEnders (2014–2016) and Emily Sands in Netflix’s Sex Education (2019–2023). Further screen credits include Four Weddings and a Funeral (Hulu, 2019), Karen Pirie (ITV, 2022), and Wonka (2023). She also voices the character Bliss in Big Finish’s Doctor Who: The Time War audio dramas.
