Lyn Paul was born Lynda Susan Belcher on February 16, 1949, in Wythenshawe, Manchester, England. She joined The New Seekers in 1970. The group achieved significant success in the early 1970s with hits such as “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony),” “Beg, Steal or Borrow,” and “You Won’t Find Another Fool Like Me.” After leaving The New Seekers in 1974, Lyn Paul pursued a solo career. She released several singles and continued to perform in various entertainment capacities. Her solo recordings included tracks like “It Oughta Sell A Million” and “Who’s Sorry Now?”
Lyn Paul transitioned into musical theatre in the late 1980s and 1990s, gaining acclaim for her roles in major productions. She is particularly noted for her portrayal of Mrs. Johnstone in the musical “Blood Brothers,” a role she has played numerous times in London’s West End and on tour.
