Still Alice stage adaptation to embark on UK tour starring Sharon Small

The show previously premiered at the West Yorkshire Playhouse

Christine Mary Dunford's newly adapted version of Lisa Genova's best-selling novel, Still Alice, will tour the UK from September 2018, directed by David Grindley (Journey's End) and starring Sharon Small (The Inspector Linley Mysteries) as Alice.

The show, which explores the nature of Alzheimer's, opened at West Yorkshire Playhouse earlier this year, earning a four-star review from WhatsOnStage critic James Willstrop who said the piece was "undoubtedly informative and insightful about this disease, yet it is even more intriguingly an exploration of how the closest people to Alice respond to the whole shocking unravelling."

The new UK tour will open at Sheffield Lyceum on 12 September before touring to Richmond, King's Theatre Edinburgh, Norwich Theatre Royal, Yvonne Arnoud Guildford and Festival Theatre Malvern. Further dates and casting for the show are to be announced.

The play has set and costume design by Jonathan Fensom, lighting design by Jason Taylor and sound design by Gregory Clarke.
