The one-man play opens at Hampstead Theatre next month
Exclusive: Ahead of its run at Hampstead Theatre this summer, the venue has released a video of actor Will Young and writer Simon Stephens discussing Song From Far Away.
Marking Young’s first live theatre role for a decade, the one-man show played at HOME Manchester earlier this year. It transfers to Hampstead for a strictly limited London run from 28 June to 22 July.
Written by Simon Stephens (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) and Mark Eitzel, it’s billed as an “unforgettable story and a personal letter to those left behind”.
Co-produced by Thomas Hopkins, Guy Chapman and HOME and directed by Kirk Jameson, the production’s creative team includes designer Ingrid Hu, sound designer Julian Starr, composer, musical supervisor and arranger Paul Schofield and dialect coach Penny Dwyer.
