Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? with Gillian Anderson and Billy Crudup announces full cast and front row seats

Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, starring Gillian Anderson and Billy Crudup, has announced its full company ahead of the production’s West End run at @sohoplace, while 5,500 front row seats have also been released across the engagement.

Albee’s seminal play follows George and Martha as they invite a younger couple, Nick and Honey, back to their home after a faculty party. As the night unfolds and tensions rise, the evening descends into a series of increasingly destructive psychological games, culminating in a devastating confrontation.

Directed in the round by Marianne Elliott, Edward Albee’s play will run from 21 September to 19 December 2026, with a press night on 30 September.

Anderson will play Martha opposite Crudup as George, with Josh Dylan as Nick and Phoebe Horn as Honey.

Joining the company as understudies are Alex Cartuson (Nick), Jessica Kirton (Martha), Georgia Miles (Honey) and Simon Willmont (George).

The creative team includes designer Miriam Buether, lighting designer James Farncombe, sound designer Ian Dickinson, casting directors Jim Carnahan and Liz Fraser, movement and intimacy director Ingrid Mackinnon, voice and dialect coach Charmian Hoare and fight director Sam Lyon-Behan.
