Alistair Pomona McDowall returns with this play set on another planet, but expect more existential discovery of self than Matt Damon harvesting potatoes. Cast includes Rudi Dharmalingam (Hamlet), Darrell Da Silva (Wendy and Peter Pan) and Jessica Raine (Call the Midwife).

In the month that marks 400 years since the death of the world's greatest playwright, two major productions of Shakespeare's tragedy open within days of each other. The first has Michael Pennington take on the mad king at the Royal and Derngate in Northampton, this is swiftly followed by Talawa Theatre's production at the Royal Exchange which will see Don Warrington in the titular role.
Royal & Derngate: 5 – 23 April. Royal Exchange: 6 April – 7 May.
22 years after playing Norma Desmond on Broadway, Glenn Close returns to the role alongside a cast including Michael Xavier and Siobhan Dillon. Tickets are on the pricey side but it's a once in a lifetime opportunity to see a true legend in an iconic role.
