If you’re 100 years old, flaunt it!

Plans have been revealed to mark Mel Brooks’ upcoming 100th birthday on 28 June.
As the hit production of The Producers continues to play at the Garrick Theatre, Andy Nyman returns to the cast as Max Bialystock after a brief hiatus from the show.
It tells the tale of two producers attempting to win big by staging the worst musical they could imagine – only for it to turn into an unexpected hit. In a glowing five-star review, the West End production was described as having “plenty of pleasures to flaunt.” It features a book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan, and music and lyrics by Mel Brooks. The production is directed by Patrick Marber.
Throughout June, the production will offer 100 tickets priced at £19.26 across Monday to Friday performances, to mark the year of Brooks’ birth, 1926.
In addition, anyone marking their 100th birthday this year will be offered a free ticket in June. Patrons are asked to arrive at the box office with a photo ID and a telegram from King Charles III.
The Producers also stars Marc Antolin as Leo Bloom, Trevor Ashley as Roger de Bris, Raj Ghatak as Carmen Ghia, Harry Morrison as Franz Liebkind and Joanna Woodward as Ulla.
The revival transferred to the West End from a sell-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory. It will complete its run on 19 September.
