Agatha Christie's record-breaking murder mystery The Mousetrap will head out on a new national tour in 2019.

The tour will star Gwyneth Strong (Only Fools and Horses) as Mrs Boyle for 24 weeks, alongside David Alcock (Waiting for Godot) as Mr Paravacini, Geoff Arnold ( Pride and Prejudice) as Detective Sgt Trotter, Nick Biadon (Still Alice) as Giles Ralston, Lewis Chandler (Foul Pages) as Christopher Wren, John Griffiths (The Sound of Music) as Major Metcalf, Harriett Hare (The White Carnation) as Mollie Ralston and Saskia Vaigncourt-Strallen (All the Angels) as Miss Caswell.

The hit show, which also has an open-ended run in the West End, will open its new tour in Guildford on 29 January 2019 before visiting Northampton, Sheffield, Colchester, Southport, Sunderland, Wycombe, Bromley, Cheltenham, Oxford, Crewe, Coventry, Crawley, Darlington, Exeter, Salford, York, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Southend, Nottingham, Bristol, Stoke, Brighton, Norwich, Malvern, Bournemouth, Dartford, Eastbourne and Cardiff with more venues to be announced.

Christie's play has been running for 67 years in the West End and continues its run at St Martin's Theatre, London.

Tickets for certain venues are already on sale.
