Thousands of people are expected to flock to Southampton’s Guildhall Square for its official launch on 12 & 13 November, ALIVE & ABLAZE!
French alchemists, Compagnie Carabosse, have transformed the new Guildhall Square into a spectacular fire garden, and ALIVE & ABLAZE will be going ahead this weekend (Friday and Saturday from 6.45pm) come rain or shine.
Visitors will be able to explore the Fire Garden and the unique atmosphere, which runs between 6.45pm – 9.45pm each evening. In addition, there will be a variety of performances, events and activities taking place in and around the Guildhall Square. The event is completely FREE and suitable for all ages.
ALIVE & ABLAZE has been developed in partnership between The Nuffield Theatre, Southampton City Council and ZEPA (European Zone of Artistic Projects, supported by the European Union as part of the INTERREG IV A France (Channel) – England programme), and is part of Art at the Heart – inspirational creative projects for Southampton’s emerging cultural quarter.
