Two Wicked alumni have been “Dancing Through Life” for the past several years, playing the role of Fiyero in the Broadway, West End and touring productions of the “Popular” hit musical. They are the UK’s Carl Man and the US’s Jordan Litz… and now the pair have embarked on a brand new adventure!

Man and Litz have each crossed the pond to effectively participate in what we’re dubbing “The Fiyero Exchange”, with Litz set to begin his performances in the 20th anniversary cast in London this evening.

WhatsOnStage and our New York sister site TheaterMania recently invited the duo for an Ozian chat and asked them to prepare some transatlantic tips for the other to experience during their time abroad.

Wicked features music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, with a book by Winnie Holzman, and tells the untold story of the witches of Oz.

The West End cast also includes WhatsOnStage Award winner Emma Kingston as Elphaba and Zizi Strallen as Glinda, alongside Claire Machin as Madame Morrible, Yara Fabricante, making her West End debut as Nessarose, Michael Matus as the Wizard, Ross Carpenter as Boq, and David McKechnie as Doctor Dillamond. Laura Emmitt continues as the alternate Elphaba, while Lydia Gerrard serves as a standby for Glinda.

The company is completed by Leo Abad, Iroy Abesamis, Elizabeth Armstrong, Steph Asamoah, Meg Astin, Rebecca Bowden, Shaun Chambers, Erin Gisele Chapman, Lauren Chia, Charles Croysdill, Oraine Frater, Emily Goodenough, Katy Hanna, Nat Ingham, Samuel John-Humphreys, Holly Lawrence, Jemima Loddy, Ellie Ann Lowe, Jamel Matthias, Marcus May, Conor O’Hara, Tom Oliver, Abbie Quinnen, Harry Robinson, Jeanie Ryan, Jessica Saisang-Rowe, Jonah Sercombe, Chris Tarsey, Hannah Taylor and Karen Wilkinson.

The creative team is led by director Joe Mantello, with Wayne Cilento handling musical staging. Scenic design is by Eugene Lee, costumes by Susan Hilferty, lighting by Kenneth Posner, sound by Tony Meola, projection designs by Elaine J McCarthy and hair and wig designs by Tom Watson. Music arrangements are by Alex Lacamoire and Stephen Oremus, with dance arrangements by James Lynn Abbott, orchestrations by William David Brohn, and musical supervision by Oremus.
