In October, Joe Hill-Gibbins will direct Romola Garai in Measure for Measure. Garai will play Isabella in the Shakespearean comedy, which opens on 2 October and plays until 7 November 2015.

The season also features a new play by Simon Stephens directed by Ivo Van Hove, who helmed the acclaimed A View From the Bridge starring Mark Strong. The play, titled Song From Far Away, will play a limited run from 3 to 19 September.

Also in the season is a version of Macbeth, co-directed by Carrie Cracknell and Lucy Guerin, which will blend theatre and dance. Running from 26 November 2015 to 16 January 2016, it will reunite Cracknell and Guerin following their Medea at the National Theatre.

Finally, in the Maria studio theatre, will be an "interactive theatre game" called World Factory which looks at the textile trade in China (11-30 May) and a revival of Marguerite Duras's La Musica (24 September – 17 October).

Today also sees the release of a short film directed by and starring Gillian Anderson. Called The Departure, the film sees Anderson reprise her role of Blanche DuBois in a prequel to A Streetcar Named Desire.
