The actor has tweeted that he won’t be continuing in the role of Quinn Carney
In a tweet, Considine said: "Due to the large number of people asking I can confirm my final performance of The Ferryman will be the evening of Saturday October 7th.''
Considine originated the role in his stage debut in Jez Butterworth's most recent play, opposite Laura Donnelly, at the Royal Court. The show transferred to the Gielgud in June and continues to run until January next year.
Casting for the rest of the run is yet to be confirmed.
The show garnered rave reviews across the board including a five star review from WhatsOnStage.
The Ferryman runs at the Gielgud Theatre until 6 January 2018.
