It’s officially Wicked: For Good season!
Though if you read here regularly and are anything like us, it has been for a very long time.
With the second instalment of Jon M Chu’s mega big-screen adaptation flying onto screens in November, there have been even more merchandise collaborations revealed. Last year, we rounded up the most unexpected, and it’s predicted that many brands will revamp their offerings. Some already have – including clothing (unadulterated clothing) lines, beauty products (from Ariana Grande‘s rem beauty, no less) and festive decor.
We couldn’t be happier with these new offers, all available in the UK.
Absolut
As the official spirits partner of the movies, Absolut is back! A sequin bottle sleeve transforms from pink to green, while a Grimmerie recipe book explains how to shake up an Ozmopolitan, Ozspresso Martini and much more at home – or get them served at certain cinemas.
Advent calendar
Let us be glad! Throughout December, you can receive a new piece of Wicked: For Good merch, from stickers to magnets to friendship bracelets, every day with the newly released advent calendar.
Care Bears
Lions and tigers and Care Bears, oh my! This updated collection features everyone’s two favourite witches, with the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion.
The Faces and Places of Oz book
A new book, from HarperCollins, will provide a more in-depth look into the merry old land of Oz. Offering a “visual journey through the world of Oz,” it is expected to include Munchkinland, Shiz, the Ozdust Ballroom and the Emerald City, with additional information about key characters. Funko Pop
Even more collectibles! This new series features Dorothy Gale and her friends, Glinda in her wedding dress, Elphaba with Grimmerie and many more. Some dolls are exclusive to American stores, but it’s always worth keeping an eye out for what is available here in the UK.
Le Creuset
Ready to cook up some magic? Iconic cookware brand Le Creuset has released limited-edition casserole pots for fans of Glinda and Elphie.
Marks and Spencer
Last year’s offerings were difficult to come by, and we have a feeling these will be just as “Popular”! As well as clothing, Christmas decorations, and mugs, they’re also offering a beautiful light-up snow globe.
Polly Pocket
You can carry a piece of Oz around with you at all times with this mini replica of Glinda and Elphaba’s dorm at Shiz University and the Wizard’s throne room in the Emerald City. Featuring dolls of the two girls and the Wizard, and three doors unveiling extra movie details, there’s plenty to rejoicify.
Popcorn buckets
Cinemas across the nation will unveil their collections of snack merchandise. First up, we love these cups and buckets from Vue and Odeon – especially the hot air balloon!
Squishmallows
Squishmallows are back with a new collection for Wicked: For Good, featuring Elphaba and Glinda in swankified new outfits, and the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion.
Loungefly
Last year, Loungefly offered up Shiz-inspired bags. This year, their collection, which includes mini backpacks, wallets and crossbody bags, is focused on our two favourite witches and are ready to accompany you down the yellow brick road.
Tarot Deck
Keen to discover how your future will unfold? This traditional 78-card tarot deck features full colour illustrations (as of yet, we cannot find the illustrator’s name) based on classic iconography. The pack comes with a handy guidebook, too.
