Among this week’s major London theatre openings, in the West End and further afield, are Adrian Lester and Rory Kinnear in the NT’s Othello, the Donmar Warehouse’s revival of The Weir, and more:

Opening Monday

Sleeping Arrangements

A new musical based on Sophie Kinsella’s novel, Sleeping Arrangements has a cast including Sabrina Aloueche and Jenny Gayner. It runs at the Landor Theatre until 12 May 2013.

Opening Tuesday

Othello
23 April 2013
(Previews from 16 April)

Adrian Lester and Rory Kinnear star as the Moor and villainous Iago in Shakespeare’s tragedy. Directed by Nicholas Hytner, it runs in rep in the NT Olivier.

Opening Wednesday

Glory Dazed

(Previews from 23 April)

Created with the help of former members of the armed forces now serving sentences at HMP & YOI Doncaster, Glory Dazed has had successful runs in Edinburgh and Adelaide. It runs at Soho Theatre until 11 May 2013.

Opening Thursday

The Weir

(Previews from 18 April)

Conor McPherson‘s award-winning play is directed by Josie Rourke, with a cast including Brian Cox, Dervla Kirwan and Ardal O’Hanlon. It runs at the Donmar Warehouse until 8 June.

Opening Friday

Gutted
26 April 2013

A new play from Rikki Beadle-Blair set on the council estates of South-East London, Gutted runs at the Theatre Royal Stratford East until 25 May 2013.
