The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time received awards including Best New Play, Best Director for Marianne
Elliott, Best Actor for Luke Treadaway, who plays Christopher Boone and
Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Nicola Walker, who played Judy at
the Cottesloe Theatre.
The play, which moved to the
West End following a sell-out run at the NT Cottesloe last year, also recently won a Whatsonstage.com Award for Best New Play as
well as the 2013 South Bank Sky Arts Award for Theatre.
Adapted by Simon Stephens from Mark Haddon’s award-winning book, it
follows 15 year-old Christopher Boone, a maths genius with behavioural
problems.
As well as Treadaway the cast also includes Niamh Cusack as Christopher’s teacher, Siobhan,
Holly Aird (Judy), Matthew Barker (Ensemble), Sophie Duval (Mrs Shears),
Seán Gleeson (Ed), Rhiannon Harper-Rafferty (Ensemble), Nick Sidi
(Roger), Tilly Tremayne (Mrs Alexander), Howard Ward (Ensemble) and
Johnny Gibbon as the alternate Christopher.
A ‘Relaxed Performance’ of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time will take place on
22 June 2013 at 2.30pm.
