New Theatre & OFS Studio Launch Musical Theatre Masterclasses

This August, for the very first time, the New Theatre and OFS Studio will be holding Musical Theatre Masterclasses for 12 to19-year-olds. The Masterclasses are a great opportunity for theatrically-minded youngsters to hone their performance skills through song and will be led by locally renowned and respected actor/director Edward Blagrove (BHM Productions / OYMT / OOS).

Each Masterclass will be held at the OFS Studio on George Street, Oxford and last three days, with a showcase performance on the evening of the last day. There are two sessions: Monday 3 to Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 to Saturday 8 August 2009.

All participants will need to bring with them sheet music for two contrasting songs that they wish to perform in the showcase and be comfortable singing a solo. The songs can be anything from Britney Spears to Les Miserables, The Saturdays to Hairspray.

Spaces are limited to 30 per Masterclass and bookings will be made on a first come first served basis.
