Measure for Measure, Josie Rourke's Donmar Warehouse production, is to extend for a further week, it has been announced.

The show opened last week to positive reviews, including four stars from WhatsOnStage reviewer Alex Wood. It stars Hayley Atwell and Jack Lowden and stages the play in two periods – in 1604 and modern-day – with Atwell and Lowden swapping roles half way through.

The piece was due to end on 24 November and will now run until 1 December. On Friday 30 November, there will be a performance dedicated solely to audiences aged 25 and under. The Young and Free initiative is funded through the Donmar's Pay It Forward scheme.

Tickets to the Friday performance will be allocated by ballot at the end of October. The ballot is now open for entries by signing up to the mailing list on the Donmar Warehouse website.
