Following a recent visit to Blackpool, Jim Cartwight‘s The Rise and Fall of Little Voice – is headed back to the North West later this year.

It stars X Factor finalist Ray Quinn as Billy, Beverley Callard (Coronation Street) as Mari Hoff, Joe McGann (Calendar Girls, Upper Hand, The Hanging Gale), as Ray Say, and introducing Jess Robinson as Laura (LV) – the Little Voice of the title.

In
this heart-warming tale shy Little Voice spends most of her time hidden
away with her late father’s record collection, perfecting her
astonishing impersonations. Her extraordinary talent remains a secret
until she is overheard by local talent scout Ray Say. Determined to hit
the big time, Ray sets about creating the show of the century with
Little Voice as his star. When the big night arrives, Ray is convinced
that this is his last chance for fame and fortune. But has anyone asked
Little Voice what she wants?

The Rise and Fall of Little Voice
is directed by Jim Cartwright and features a set design by Morgan Large and  it arrives at the Manchester Opera House from 29 April – 4 May.
