The Kevin Spacey Foundation is the official charity of the 2016 WhatsOnStage Awards. In this video, recipients of the foundation's grants – a financial boost of up to £10,000 for emerging artists and companies – explain the impact the help has had on their career.

Film Recipient: "The KSF grant allowed my filmmaking partner and I to DO the project! It funded almost every aspect of production and has been an inspiration for us to keep going."

Musical Recipient: "Without the grant we would not have had our work seen by theatres and festivals that have decided to program us, and given us a life beyond the Fringe. None of this would be possible without their support."

Dance Recipient: "The generous assistance of KSF helped us to evolve a completely brand new way of perceiving dance, inspire and tangibly touch individual souls, and truly mark a new journey for each of the artists involved."

Theatre Recipient: "Take an idea for a play, sprinkle with hope, add a conversation with Steve Winter and multiply with two weeks of sold out performances and you get a sense of what getting a KSF Grant means. Needed, appreciated and project changing. Thank you."
