The ”Frasier” star will appear alongside ”Glee”’s Matthew Morrison
Award-winning actor Kelsey Grammer will play theatre producer Charles Frohman in the Broadway premiere of the reworked musical Finding Neverland.
Based on the 2004 film by screenwriter David Magee and the play The Man Who Was Peter Pan by Allan Knee, Finding Neverland follows the relationship between author JM Barrie and the family that inspired Peter Pan.
Starring alongside Grammer as Barrie is Glee's Matthew Morrison.
Grammer is best known for originating the character of Dr Frasier Crane in Cheers and Frasier and starring in myriad other TV shows and films.
He has won a number of awards for his acting, including a Tony, and has directed several TV shows. Grammer last appeared on stage in New York in 2010 when he starred in La Cage aux Folles.
Directed by Diane Paulus (Pippin), Finding Neverland features a book by James Graham (This House), and music and lyrics by Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy.
Finding Neverland – which was first seen at the Leicester Curve in 2012 – previews from 15 March 2015 at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre and will officially open on 15 April.
