John Malkovich returns to UK stages in a play inspired by Harvey Weinstein
Production images have been released for the West End production of David Mamet's Bitter Wheat, which opens at the Garrick Theatre.
The piece stars John Malkovich as movie producer Barney Fein alongside Ioanna Kimbook, Alexander Arnold, Doon Mackichan, Zephryn Taitte, Matthew Pidgeon and Teddy Kempner.
Malkovich is returning to the West End stage for the first time in 30 years to star in Mamet's piece which the writer himself directs. Bitter Wheat has designs from Christopher Oram and lighting from Neil Austin. The show has its official opening night on 19 June and runs until 21 September.
In an interview with BBC Radio 4, Malkovich said that Harvey Weinstein was the "starting point" for Mamet's play. He added that it was: "a black farce about a very badly behaved media mogul."
