David Mamet’s iconic play is headed out on a UK tour following its run in the West End
Further cast joining Mark Benton and Nigel Harman in the upcoming UK tour of Glengarry Glen Ross has been announced.
David Mamet's darkly comic play was revived last year in the West End, starring Christian Slater as Ricky Roma. It now heads out on a UK tour, with Harman taking on the role of Roma alongside Mark Benton as Shelly Levene.
They are joined by Denis Conway (The Lieutenant of Inishmore) as Dave Moss, Wil Johnson (Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead) as George Aaronow, Scott Sparrow (King Lear) as John Williamson, James Staddon (Goodnight Mister Tom) as James Lingk and Zephryn Taitte (The Jungle Book) as Baylen.
The tour will start on 14 February 2019 at the New Victoria Woking, before visiting Birmingham, Plymouth, Cheltenham, Cambridge, Bath, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Glasgow, Richmond, Brighton and Cardiff.
Directed by Sam Yates (The Phlebotomist), Glengarry Glen Ross has designs by Chiara Stephenson and lighting by Richard Howell.
Set in the sales office of a group of Chicago salesmen, the play was first performed in 1984 and won the Pulitzer Prize. It was adapted into a film in 1992, featuring Jack Lemmon, Al Pacino and Alec Baldwin.
