”The Big Lebowski” actor will virtually appear in ”Off the King’s Road”
The Jermyn Street Theatre have announced that Jeff Bridges will be making an e-appearance in new production Off The King's Road.
Bridges will join a cast including Michael Brandon (Episodes, Jerry Springer The Opera), Cherie Lunghi (Excalibur, Strictly Come Dancing), Luke Pitman and Diana Dimitrovici.
The Academy Award-winner will appear as a Los Angeles psychiatrist.
Directed by Alan Cohen, Neil Koenigsberg's debut play comes to London after runs in New York and Los Angeles. "I've known Jeff Bridges both professionally and personally for many years now," said Koenigsberg.
"When it was suggested by Michael Brandon and Alan Cohen that we approach him to do an e-appearance as a crucial character in my play, I thought who better but it was a long shot. Now that it's happened, I couldn't be happier. Audiences will get to see Jeff on stage (so to speak) in a funny-sad, rich and endearing performance that enhances all four other actors and the whole production."
Koenigsberg's play centres around American Matt Browne as he takes a week's respite in a small hotel, off the King’s Road, London after his wife's passing.
Off The King's Road runs at the Jermyn Street Theatre from 3 to 25 June.
