National Theatre has revealed three additional titles joining its streaming platform, including Inter Alia, which is currently playing in the West End.
Peter Morgan’s The Audience, starring Helen Mirren, is now available to watch on National Theatre at Home in the UK. The play, directed by Stephen Daldry, premiered in 2013 and won both Olivier and Tony Awards. It follows Queen Elizabeth II, who met privately with each of her 12 prime ministers.
A more recently staged production of Hamlet will become available from 18 June. Hiran Abeysekera played the title character opposite Francesca Mills’s Ophelia in the revival directed by Robert Hastie. The piece was recorded during its run at the Lyttleton Theatre last autumn.
From 7 July, audiences in the UK can watch Suzie Miller’s Inter Alia. Led by Olivier Award winner Rosamund Pike as Jessica Parks, she plays a Crown Court judge whose professional life intersects with her responsibilities as a mother, examining questions of justice, family and modern masculinity. It reunites Miller and director Justin Martin following their previous collaboration on Prima Facie. The piece is entering its final weeks in the West End but will also transfer to Broadway.
They join ready-to-view musicals and plays including Next to Normal, The Importance of Being Earnest, Waitress, Mrs Warren’s Profession and more.
