The work of Toby Gough returns to the Southbank Centre stage with <i>Havana Rumba!</i> The show is the second confirmed headliner for this summer’s Udderbelly Festival.

The upbeat musical performance, led by Sonora La Calle, a famous Cuban salsa band, combines sounds of the fifties, Mambo, Cha Cha Cha and contemporary Cuban to create a thrilling performance.

Gough wrote and directed <i>Havana Rumba!</i>, which received great success at the 2008 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. He is internationally known for his original music, theatre and dance productions that focus on Cuban culture. His hit <i>Brazil! Brazil!</i> also headlined for the Udderbelly Festival in 2010.

Among Havana’s best dancers accompanying the melodies are Juventino “El Chico Divino,” Osvadys “the DON of Reggaeton,” and Eric Turro “El Maestro” Martinez. Martinez, who has been dancing for over 25 years, is co-founder of Buena Vista TM and one of Cuba’s most respected dancers.

The show, billed as an intoxicating cocktail of Rumba, Salsa, Rum and Reggaeton, makes its way to Southbank Centre from 30 May to 08 July 2012.

Further line-up details for the Udderbelly Festival, which this year is situated within a new South Bank festival, the London Wonderground, are expected to be announced shortly.
