They join the recently announce associate artists Drew McOnie and Inua Ellams
Olivier Award-winner Harriet Walter and rapper Craig David have been announced as patrons of Nuffield Southampton Theatres.
The role involves supporting and championing the theatre's work and new venues including the soon-to-open NST City. Walter and David join other patrons including Samantha Bond, Laura Carmichael, Tom Hiddleston and Celia Imrie as well as the recently announced associate artists Inua Ellams and Drew McOnie.
Walter's recent theatre credits include the RSC's Death of a Salesman and Phyllida Lloyd's all-female Shakespeare Trilogy at the Donmar Warehouse. David's number one hits include "Fill Me In" and "7 Days".
Talking about the new recruits, Samuel Hodges, director of Nuffield Southampton Theatres said: "They both bring extensive and diverse experience from across the arts making them the perfect pairing to join our team.
"We have an exciting year ahead of us, so I’m thrilled to welcome Harriet and David’s support ahead of our upcoming season that marks a big leap forward for NST and for the cultural landscape of Southampton."
