Hamilton releases further tickets for first booking period

Further tickets are to be released for the West End opening of Hamilton at Victoria Palace Theatre.

The announcement comes as the production confirms the re-seating process, following the rescheduling of preview performances, is complete. The tickets will go on sale tomorrow at noon.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's hip-hop musical opened off-Broadway in 2015, before transferring to Broadway the same year. The show tells the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton and won 11 Tony Awards and a Pulitzer Prize.

It was announced earlier this year that Hamilton was to be delayed after the reconstruction of the Victoria Palace Theatre overran.

The newly available tickets include new boxes, remaining re-seat tickets and some production seats.

New standing tickets will also become available, the details for which are yet to be announced. There will be daily lottery tickets available too.

The show opens on 21 December, with previews beginning on 6 December. Hamilton is currently booking to 30 June 2018.

Delfont Mackintosh Theatres has pioneered a new Paperless Ticketing system, powered by Ticketmaster, to avoid ticket touts and third-party resellers.

The West End cast includes Jamael Westman as Alexander Hamilton alongside Michael Jibson, Christine Allado , Rachelle Ann Go, Tarinn Callender, Rachel John, Jason Pennycooke, Cleve September, Giles Terera, Miriam-Teak Lee and Obioma Ugoala.

Hamilton opens at the Victoria Palace Theatre on 21 December, with previews on 6 December.
