Graham Linehan’s Ladykillers Tours to Lowry, 25 March

Graham Linehan‘s stage adaptation of The Ladykillers visits the Lowry next year, as part of the UK tour.

The production, which was nominated for five Olivier Awards including Best New Play and Best Director (Sean Foley), completed its West End run at the Geilgud Theatre on 14 April.

Taking over the role of Mrs Wilberforce, for which Marcia Warren received an Olivier nomination for best actress, is Michele Dotrice. The actor is best known for playing Betty in the BBC series Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em but was seen most recently on stage in When We Are Married at the Garrick Theatre in 2010.

Paul Bown will play Professor Marcus, Peter Capaldi’s role during the play’s West End run, while Clive Mantle will appear as Major Courtney. Mantle has an ongoing role in HBO’s fantasy drama series, Game of Thrones. Chris McCalphy plays One-Round, Cliff Parisi appears as Louis, and William Troughton,
who understudied the roles of Harry and Louis in the West End
production, plays Harry. Parisi is best known as loveable rogue Minty in Eastenders.

There are also rumours that the the comedy may return to the West End.

The Ladykillers  arrives at the Lowry from 25 – 30 March.
