Delve behind-the-scenes of Sylvia as it continues its world premiere run. 

Sharon Rose plays Sylvia Pankhurst, while Beverley Knight portrays Emmeline Pankhurst in the production by Kate Prince.

The show has received rave reviews, with WhatsOnStage calling it “a brave and vibrant hit.” The show, which also received four Olivier Award nominations including Best New Musical, runs until 8 April.

The cast of Sylvia includes Kelly Agbowu, Verity Blyth, Kimmy Edwards, Alex Gaumond, Jade Hackett, Todd Holdsworth, Stevie Hutchinson, Kate Ivory Jordan, Hannah Khemoh, Razak Osman, Jay Perry, Kirstie Skivington, Ellena Vincent, Bradley Charles, and Kandaka Moore, with Jaye Marshall, Sinead Long, Antoine Murray-Straughan, and Malachi Welch in the ensemble.

The show boasts an impressive creative team, including the book by Prince and Priya Parmar, music by Josh Cohen and DJ Walde, lyrics by Prince, direction and choreography by Prince, set and costumes by Ben Stones, lighting by Natasha Chivers, sound by Tony Gayle, and video and animation by Andrzej Goulding. Wigs, hair, and makeup are by Cynthia de la Rosa, with co-musical supervision by Mark Dickman and Leonn Meade and casting by Stuart Burt and Oliver Scullion.

The production also features dramaturgy by Lolita Chakrabarti, additional music by Prince, additional lyrics by Tachia Newall, music production by Cohen and DJ Walde, musical direction by Sean Green, voice coaching by Charlie Hughes D’Aeth, associate direction by Dannielle ‘Rhimes’ Lecointe, associate choreography by Jade Hackett, resident direction and choreography by Chris Alozie, costume supervision by Tash Prynne, props supervision by Fahmida Bakht, and digital music programming by Lucy Baker-Swinburn for Switch Audio. The musicians’ contractor is Oli Briant, and Beverley Knight serves as a creative consultant for the production.
