Further casting announced for Made in Dagenham musical; first song released

Steve Furst, Mark Hadfield and Sophie-Louise Dann are among those joining Gemma Arterton in the screen-to-stage show

Further casting has been announced for screen-to-stage musical Made in Dagenham, which premieres at the Adelphi Theatre in November.

Joining the principal cast are: Steve Furst, playing US Ford executive Mr Tooley, Mark Hadfield as Harold Wilson, Sophie-Louise Dann as Barbara Castle, Sophie Stanton as Beryl, Heather Craney as Clare, Sophie Isaacs as Sandra, Julius D'Silva as Ford Dagenham boss Mr Hopkins and Naomi Frederick as his wife Lisa.

Other cast announced today are: Naana Agyei-Ampadu, Thomas Aldridge, Kate Coysten, Christopher Howell, Scott Garnham, Ian Jervis, Paul Kemble, Emma Lindars, Jo Napthine, Tracey Penn, Gemma Salter, Gareth Snook, Rachel Spurrell, Emily Squibb, Karli Vale and Rene Zagger.

The producers have also released a recording of a song from the show – "Everybody Out". Listen below:

Director Rupert Goold said: "We have in this show some of the best original music around and a cracking script and to know that it will be performed by this multi-talented, wonderful, diverse, rowdy bunch of actors makes me keener than ever to get into the rehearsal room."

Based on the hit British film, the musical comedy stars Gemma Arterton in the lead role of Rita O'Grady, with Adrian der Gregorian, currently appearing in M Burns at the Almeida, as her husband Eddie.

Joining Gemma and Adrian are Steve Furst playing US Ford Executive Mr Tooley, Mark Hadfield as Harold Wilson, Sophie-Louise Dann playing Barbara Castle, Sophie Stanton as Beryl, Heather Craney as Clare,Sophie Isaacs as Sandra, Julius D'Silva playing Ford Dagenham boss Mr Hopkins and Naomi Frederick as his wife Lisa.

Made in Dagenham, which features a book by Richard Bean, music from David Arnold and lyrics by Richard Thomas, premieres at the West End's Adelphi Theatre on 5 November 2014 (previews from 9 October).
