Full casting for the touring production of ”Nell Gwynn” has also been announced
Sandi Toksvig's son has been cast in her new comedy Silver Lining, which will tour the UK from February.
The QI presenter's new play is about five elderly ladies sharing stories in the Silver Retirement Home, when a storm hits and they realise they have no option but to save themselves.
Theo Toksvig, who makes his professional stage debut, will join the previously announced Rachel Davies, Kezia Josephs, Maggie McCarthy, Joanna Munro, Sheila Reid and Amanda Walker. Rebecca Gatward directs.
The cast joining Laura Pitt-Pulford for English Touring Theatre's production of Jessica Swale's Nell Gwynn has also been announced.
Christopher Luscombe directs Clive Hayward as Thomas Killgrew and Michael Cochrane, who will play Lord Arlington.
The full cast includes Esh Alladi, Nicholas Bishop, Pandora Clifford, Thea Collings, Phillipa Flynn, Jack Helsby Joanne Howarth, Pepter Lunkuse, George Jennings, Sam Marks, Ben Righton, Mossie Smith and Leon Stewart.
Nell Gwynn opens at The Lowry, Salford on 1 March before touring to Brighton, Malvern, Cambridge, Cornwall, Blackpool, Edinburgh and Bath.
Silver Lining opens at Rose Theatre Kingston on 8 February before touring to Portsmouth, Oxford, Cambridge, Ipswich, Keswick, York and Salford.
