If the first rule of Fight Club is that you don't talk about Fight Club, then the second rule should be that you don't talk about Fight Club: The Rock Opera – a rule that has apparently been broken by Chuck Palahniuk, author of the 1996 novel upon which the 1999 neo-noir film starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton is based.

Talking at the San Diego Comic-Con during a panel discussion for the Fight Club 2 comic, Palahniuk reportedly teased that the Olivier and Tony Award-winner Julie Taymor (The Lion King, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark) is heading up a team to adapt the film for the stage.

To add fuel to the rumours, Palahniuk tweeted: "Julie Taymor working with David Fincher on a FIGHT CLUB rock opera? You didn't hear it from me. 🙂 #SDCC"
