Fame to embark on a new UK tour

Selladoor has announced a new UK tour of Fame – the Musical to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 1988 musical.

The show, which is based on the 1980 film of the same name and follows the lives of students at New York's High School for the Performing Arts, was conceived and developed by David De Silva, with a book by José Fernandez, music by Steve Margoshes and lyrics by Jacques Levy.

Fame the Musical will open at Manchester Palace on 20 July 2018 before touring to Glasgow, Llandudno, Blackpool, Tunbridge Wells, Bradford, Aberdeen, Woking, Sheffield, Bridlington, Edinburgh, Ipswich, Brighton, Birmingham, Aylesbury and Shrewsbury.

The production will be directed and choreographed by Nick Winston with design by Morgan Large. Casting is yet to be announced.

Fame opens at Manchester Palace on 20 July 2018.
