”Tin Star” and ”Humans” actors will appear in the returning production
Stars of Tin Star and The Musketeers have been cast in The Yard's forthcoming production of This Beautiful Future, which returns to the venue after a sell-out run in May.
Written by Rita Kalnejais, the show tells the story of a young French girl in occupied France, who falls in love with a young Nazi soldier in the midst of war. The show also marks the first time in its history that the Yard has revived a production.
Abigail Lawrie plays Elodie. The actor most recently appeared in Tin Star as well as The Casual Vacancy. Her stage credits include When We Were Women (Orange Tree Theatre). Tom Morley (The Musketeers, Humans) will play Nazi soldier Otto. His recent credits on the stage include A Room With A View (Theatre Royal Bath).
The remainder of the cast is composed of Alwyne Taylor (Flowers in the Forest, Jermyn Street Theatre) and Paul Haley (The One Day of the Year, Finborough) will reprise their
roles to complete the cast.
Directed by The Yard artistic director and founder Jay Miller, the show went on to receive positive reviews, with WhatsOnStage reviewer Matt Trueman describing it as 'superb and surprising'.
The venue has also recently announced it will receive Arts Council support for the first time from April 2018 to 2022.
This Beautiful Future runs at the Yard Theatre from 6 to 25 November, with previews from 2 November.
