The actress played Luna Lovegood in the ”Harry Potter” film franchise
Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch has been cast in the 20th anniversary production of Enda Walsh's Disco Pigs, which opens at the Trafalgar Studios in July.
Lynch, who is best known for playing Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter films, was last seen on stage in a touring production of Houdini in which she played the famous magician's wife, Bess Houdini.
Directed by John Haidar with design by Richard Kent, the two-hander will also feature Colin Campbell (Dublin by Lamplight).
Walsh's play, which was adapted into the 2001 film of the same name, is about two teenagers nicknamed Pig and Runt, who have a lifelong, but unhealthy, friendship.
Walsh, whose theatre credits also include Once and Lazarus, said: "It seems shocking that Disco Pigs is 20 years old – but I trust that Evanna Lynch and Colin Campbell under the stewardship of John Haidar – will brilliantly send Pig and Runt crashing through their chaotic joint birthday."
Disco Pigs runs at the Trafalgar Studios from 12 July to 19 August.
