A scientifically researched voice training course for musical performers and actors is being held in Liverpool city centre at the end of the month.

Vocal training company Sense of Sound will be holding the Estill Voice Training System course at The Bluecoat from Friday 26 until Sunday 28 June.

The level one course is being taught by Helen Rowson and deals with the anatomy and physiology of the voice before going on to cover the thirteen ‘compulsory figures’ identified by the ‘Estill Model’ as essential for optimum vocal control.

Sense of Sound, established in 1992, is recognised by Her Majesty the Queen as a pioneer for the nation and has recently delivered vocal training for BBC television and radio, The Victoria and Albert Museum, Tate Liverpool, Liverpool’s Capital of Culture and a host of professional singers and performers.

The Estill Voice Training System is the result of over 30 years of research carried out by Jo Estill, who is a professional singer.
