A second world premiere follows with The Turn of the Screw, a new adaptation by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm based on the novella by Henry James. Directed by Nicky Allpress and presented in association with Blackeyed Theatre and Arcola Theatre, it runs from 2 to 22 March.
Alongside the main programme, Reading Rep will continue its Engage participation scheme and present the world premiere of Super Me, a new early years production by Sam Amestoy. Created in partnership with Reading Libraries and Reading Borough Council, it will run from 30 March to 2 April.
The season will conclude with a major musical production, details of which are still to be announced.
Stacey said the productions were united by the idea of “opening doors”, highlighting the theatre’s commitment to welcoming new audiences, developing collaborations and presenting new adaptations alongside contemporary voices.
