Following its successful return to the Dominion Theatre last year, Elf The Musical will play a second consecutive season at the West End venue, it has been announced.
Based on the much-loved 2003 New Line Cinema film starring Will Ferrell, the musical adaptation features a book by Tony Award-winners Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone) and a score by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer).
The musical follows Buddy, who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s sack as a baby and is raised at the North Pole as an elf. However, after learning that he is indeed human, he sets off to New York City to find his biological father.
Philip Wm. McKinley will also return to direct the production, which will feature choreography by Liam Steel, original sets and costumes by Tim Goodchild, lighting by Patrick Woodroffe, sound by Gareth Owen and video design by Ian William Galloway.
Casting for the 2023 revival will be announced in due course and will be by Grindrod Burton Casting.
Produced by Temple Live Entertainment, Elf runs at the Dominion from 15 November 2023 through to 6 January 2024.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, 28 April at 10am.
