Three of the founders of the SDP attended the opening night of Limehouse, Steve Waters' new play about the formation of the party.

Bill Rogers, Shirley Williams and David Owen (with wife Debbie Owen) met the actors who play them in the production; Paul Chahidi, Debra Gillett, Tom Goodman-Hill and Nathalie Armin. Roger Allam plays the fourth founding member of the party, Roy Jenkins.

David Tennant, Patrick Marber and Elliot Levey were also at the opening night of the production.
