After pantomime returned to the Palladium in London for the first time in 29 years in 2016, we've been getting a host of hilarious celebrities in the theatre's annual festive show. This year Dawn French, Julian Clary, Paul Zerdin, Nigel Havers, Gary Wilmot and Vincent and Flavia all star. London Palladium, 8 December to 13 January
Comedian, writer and actress Meera Syal makes her pantomime debut this year alongside Jimmy Osmond, the youngest of The Osmonds. Syal is starring as the Magical Mermaid and her West Midlands upbringing means she'll likely be a hit with the local audience. Birmingham Hippodrome, 19 December to 27 January
Another star making his pantomime debut this year is Robert Lindsay, who steps onto Richmond's stage to play Captain Hook in this year's Peter Pan. He's joined by Jon Clegg, Rachel Stanley and Harry Francis. Richmond Theatre, 8 December to 6 January
No stranger to panto, Les Dennis appears this year alongside Coronation Street's Conor McIntyre as the Ugly Sisters in Manchester's festive offering. Gareth Gates also stars as Prince Charming, of course. Manchester Opera House, 8 to 30 December
Musical theatre star John Partridge (who has performed in Cats, Taboo, Miss Saigon and A Chorus Line, and played Christian Clarke in EastEnders) is joining Samantha Womack (a fellow EastEnders star) in Plymouth's pantomime this year. Womack is playing Fairy Bow Bells while Partridge is taking on King Rat. Plymouth Theatre Royal, 14 December to 12 January
Queen of Clean Kim Woodburn is to pop up in Liverpool this year to take on the role of the Wicked Queen in the Epstein Theatre's producution of Snow White. Also in the cast is spritual medium Derek Acorah, Claire Simmo, Lewis Pryor and Michael Chapman as the dame. Liverpool Epstein Theatre, 7 December to 2 January
Strictly judge and all-round bad boy of TV Craig Revel Horwood returns to panto again this year to star in Woking's Cinderella as the Wicked Stepmother. He's had more than enough practise at being the baddie recently, what with starring in Annie as Miss Hannigan. New Victoria Theatre, Woking, 7 December to 6 January
A duo of comedians take the stage for the Wimbledon pantomime this year. Paul Merton will be Widow Twankey, while comedy magician Pete Firman should spread a little bit of surprise and sparkle to the affair. New Wimbledon Theatre, 8 December to 6 January
Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas makes her pantomime debut this year at the Empire Theatre's Jack and the Beanstalk. She'll be playing Mother Nature, who helps Jack outwit the nasty giant. Liverpool Empire, 14 December to 6 January
One of the best pantomimes in all the land, Hackney Empire brings back its pantomime royalty to its stage this year, with the return of Tameka Empson and Clive Rowe. Empson returns to the theatre where she used to be a regular in panto between 2004 and 2009 before her stint in EastEnders. Rowe is one of the best dames around and also returns to his regular haunting ground this year. Hackney Empire, 24 November to 6 January
Following their run in Milton Keynes last year, TV personality Gok Wan and comedian Brian Conley reprise their appearances in Cinderella, this time in Bristol. It's the third time they've teamed up together, so there must be something winning about that double act. Bristol Hippodrome, 8 December to 6 January
Expect 'Riiiiickeeeeeey' jokes aplenty over in Lowestoft this year, with Sid Owen starring as Captain Hook in the pantomime at the Marina Theatre.

Soap star Shane Richie takes on outlaw Robin Hood in Milton Keynes this year, a role he's no stranger to, having led the same show over in Woking last year. Further cast is yet to be announced, but last year Ashleigh Gray joined him, so here's hoping there'll be someone as good this year. Milton Keynes Theatre, 8 December to 13 January
